Where I've Been

For these past ten days I have been on an amazing trip to the beautiful countries of Italy and France. As I explored the many cities and experienced new cultures, I was able to take a small break from the internet and enjoy life with some of my best friends.

It has always been my dream to visit Europe and I am so glad that I was able to live that dream during this past spring break. It feels so surreal that I was able to see places like the Eiffel Tower and the Vatican in real life. Everything was so beautiful that I couldn't resist taking so many pictures that I cannot wait to be able to share with you all.

What adventures have you been in this summer? I would love to hear about it in the comments below. Thanks for reading. Until the next post. Never forget to be you :)

With the weather being the exact opposite of Hawaii, I needed to buy some outfits that were fit for the cold weather. I have been waiting for everything to finally be complete, and I am so excited to share all of these things I found with you.

Do It For You

I get it. It's hard to make everyone happy with the things you do. It's hard to reach what others expect of you, and take in their comments with respect and a smile on your face. In life, it seems like we're always trying to please everyone else but us.

But now, it's time to take a stand and do what you know is right for yourself and makes you happy. Work towards achieving the things God has placed you on the earth to do. From things like studying hard in school to getting good grades, do it for you and the prosperity of your own future. Dress yourself, physically and mentally, in things that make you feel comfortable. Respect yourself and love the way you are. Be proud of the things you have and will accomplish because only you know how hard it is to achieve the things you have done.

change the people around you."

Breakfast with Mickey

Tater tots, Waffles, Bacon Mushroom Spinach Omelette, Bacon Fried Rice
"Like sweet lemonade on a hot summer's day" ;)
During our stay at Aulani, we were able to experience a buffet breakfast with some of our favorite Disney characters. Although the process of getting a reservation was time consuming and had some very disappointing service, the food and entertainment surely gave us the opposite experience. Aunty Cathy was very joyful and full of energy, and the characters brought a smile to so many children's faces. The food tasted delicious and the Mickey and Stitch waffles were so cute. I had an amazing time celebrating my uncle's birthday here and meeting Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy during our stay.

What did you guys do this weekend? I would love to hear about it in the comments below. Thanks for reading. Until the next post. Never forget to be you!

Aulani Disney Surprise

Hey everyone! How's your weekend going? Mine has definitely been surprise filled and so much fun. Since this Saturday is my uncle's birthday, my mom surprised all of us with a staycation at Aulani Disney Resort. It's so beautiful here that I never wanna leave. The room we have looks amazing and the view is so beautiful. There are so many activities to do for every age and I am so excited for our breakfast and dinner reservations tomorrow. If only it were possible for us to stay here longer.

More updates and pictures coming soon. Hope you're also having a great weekend. Thanks for reading. Until the next post. Never forget to be you!

Tips on Saving Money

As I started saving up money to spend on my trip to Europe, which I am so excited for, I tried different ways in trying to keep the money I save in my piggy bank until it's actually time to use it. Everyone once in a while we all know that there are certain days when we are tempted to take a few bills out and in trying to keep what I am saving actually saved, here are a few tips that I found worked out for me.

  1. I found that folding my money into a star kept me from taking it out of my piggy bank and spending the dollar bills I have saved. I feel that this worked because taking it out and having to unfold the dollars I need takes up time, and I wouldn't want to destroy something I made that looks so cute. If you want to try this method out, I learned how to do this using this tutorial. It's really easy to make and pretty cool if you ask me.

  2. My second tip is to get a jar or piggy bank and decorate it however you want, and use it to save every single coin that you receive or find. Although it seems like a small amount during that moment, in the end it will add up to a lot of money. I filled up this cute jar I got from one of my best friends with all the coins I had and it added up to more than $50!
  3. Another thing I have been doing is saving every $5 bill that I receive. It seems a little silly to be saving one of the smaller bills, but in the end this method works amazingly. Saving something thats not too little but also not too much doesn't hurt the budget that you can spend. I have only been keeping my fives for a few months now and I've already saved up about $100.
Hope these tips helps you out, and if you do decided to try them let me know your progress! What are some of the money saving tips you have? I would love to hear about them in the comments below, or feel free to tweet me @reyestmarie. Thanks for reading. Until the next post. Never forget to be you! :)

Girls Day 2015

Happy Girls Day ladies! To celebrate this special day of the year, my dad decided to treat my mom, sisters, and I to dinner at a restaurant called Phuket Thai. Here, we were able to enjoy each others company in a calm and peaceful environment.

Yellow Beef Curry
Beef Thai Noodles

The food here tasted delicious, and of course we had all of these dishes with some sticky rice which I forgot to take a picture of. My personal favorite was the fried chicken, yum! As we were in a bit of a rush to go here, I also just decided to wear one of my favorite tops from Forever 21 and a pair of black high waisted shorts from Charlotte Russe.

I definitely had an amazing night out and am glad that I was able to take a little break from all the stress of school. What did you do this girls day? I would love to hear about it in the comments below. Thanks for reading. Until the next post. Never forget to be you :)

John Frieda Sheer Blonde - Review

Recently, I purchased the John Frieda Sheer Blonde shampoo and conditioner to try out on my new hair. For the shampoo, I got the highlight activating version and as for the conditioner, I got the everlasting blonde version.

Right after using these products, I instantly saw that my hair was smoother and its light and bright color was preserved. My hair also smelt amazing, and it dried looking shinier and feeling softer. For a very reasonable price, this product has many amazing results and it definitely feels like I've just been to the salon. Even better, I only had to use a little squeeze of each product to completely lather and clean my thick and long hair.

This product is now one of my favorites and I will definitely keep on using and restocking on it. I would recommend this product to any of you who have recently colored your hair a lighter color and would like to keep it looking amazing. Any brands you like to use on your hair?
