The Versatile Blogger Award

Wow, I can't believe I've been actually nominated for something. This is the first time something like this has ever happened to me, and I would like to thank the lovely Abigail from Evespudding for tagging me. In this post, I will share 7 facts about me and then nominate other blogs that I think you guys should also take a look at and would enjoy.
  1. My favorite color is blue.
  2. I lived in the Philippines for four years.
  3. I would love to have a vacation in Greece, England, or Australia.
  4. I've always dreamed about going on a cruise, but Titanic (lol).
  5. I love the beach, but I hate thinking about what could be lurking in the depths of those waters.
  6. And I especially do not like sharks, but I like watching shark movies. (I know, weird).
  7. And I will watch any movie except horror ones, because those are the worst. I do not get how people can let themselves watch those things knowing that they're going to get scared. It's literally like torture.
Well, those were some facts about me that I hope were interesting. I nominate anyone who has read this post to participate in this award, and I would love to hear some things about you in the comments below.

A blog that I think you all would like and want to nominate specifically is A Cup of Jessicated Coconut. If you all don't already follow her blog, you definitely should because she has such an amazing sense of style that I absolutely love, and the quality of her posts and pictures is just amazing.

Thanks for reading! Until the next post. Never forget to be you!

Bangkok Chef - Thai Cuisine

Lettuce Wrap
Chicken
Pad Thai
House Delight
This past weekend, my mom brought us to a Thai restaurant called Bangkok Chef for the first time. Hearing such great things about the food, I was so excited to try out some new things. We decided to order a variety of food, and they all tasted delicious. I think my personal favorite was the lettuce wrap. For dessert, we had some sort of mochi topped with mango ice cream (I'm not sure what the actual name for it is) and it has now become one of my favorite desserts ever.

What are some cuisines you've recently tried out? I would love to hear about them in the comments below and maybe even try them out. Thanks for reading. Until the next post. Never forget to be you!

Coachella Dreamin'

It's come to that time of the year when so many of us are wishing we could be enjoying our weekend at Coachella. But let's face it, there's just too much work from school or our jobs and let's not forget it's all the way in California.

To make the most of our weekend here in Hawaii before going back to the stress of school, my friends and I decided to go to the Iolani fair and do something that was as close as to Coachella as it could be. Although the rides and food were pretty expensive, I had a great time. From the mirror maze to the Ferris wheel, every second of our night out was filled with laughter and fun. I also got a henna tattoo for the first time, and even though it wasn't the most professional service I received, I'm glad that I tried it out.

As for my outfit, I decided to wear my pair of bleached shorts and a striped top, both from Forever 21. I matched it with my brown, braided strap sandals that I got from Ross.

What did you do this weekend? I would love to hear about it in the comments below. And anyone else dream about going to Coachella? Hopefully someday we'll be able to go and maybe even meet each other! Thanks for reading. Until the next post. Never forget to be you.

P.S. Ohh and surprisingly, I was able to win a prize at a booth. Like woah, I don't usually do so good at those games. Anyone else have a hard time taking a cute stuffed animal home...cause those games are pretty tough, haha :)

Amour à Paris

Parisian Cafe
Eiffel Tower :)
Arc de Triomphe

Notre Dame
Eiffel Tower at Night
Visiting Paris has always been a dream of mine, and actually being able to see everything in person was even better than I could ever imagine. From all the detailed and amazing architecture you see throughout the day to the bright and shining lights you see at night, I absolutely loved every part of visiting this beautiful city.

It seemed kind of surreal that I was able to see all of these major sites, almost as if it was only a dream. I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way sometimes, but there was just something about knowing how small the probability was for me to do something like this, and yet I actually got to experience it. I was able to go to the places my mom was able to visit when she was young, and they all left me in awe.

I also love how I was able to connect these places with some of the books I've read, especially the book A Year in Europe which I put in my March Favorites. It felt like reliving the moments characters had when they found true love and decided to be themselves. Imagining some of my favorite scenes at all these attractions helped me to visualize those corny yet romantic ideals, like seeing it in a movie.

Although this trip didn't end like all of those love stories or the Lizzie McGuire movie (haha I wish), I fell in love with something even better...traveling. I definitely had a lot of fun hanging out with some of my best friends and being able to explore a new country with them.

The next place I want to visit is England. Where do you want to travel to some day? Comment your answers down below, and maybe someday we'll be able to live that dream together! xx

Thanks for reading. Until the next post. Never forget to be you :)

March Favorites 2015

As I've gone through the month of March in what feels like just a blink of an eye, I have used so many amazing things that have helped me to enjoy the beginning of spring and capture the memories I have been able to create. Here are some of the things that I have been loving:

Firstly, I've been obsessed with using my polaroid camera especially during my recent trip to Europe. I love how I am able to get a print of that moment instantly and keep it in my wallet or binder so that I can remember all the fun we had on that day as everyday tasks start to stress me out. The comic themed film gave my pictures a touch of cuteness and fun.

The next thing I have been using a lot is this purse that I borrowed from my mom. It has a deep red color, and a compact yet spacious body to it to keep all of my valuables safe and easy to reach.

Being inspired by my trip to Italy and France, I finished reading the book A Year in Europe by Rachel Hawthorne. It contained three novels that were filled with a sense of adventure, independence, and love.

Lastly, these little products kept me company a lot during the month of March. The B&BW lotion in the scent Beautiful Day and the Burt's Bees Lip Balm have definitely helped me to keep my skin hydrated and smooth in the cold weather of Europe. To keep myself smelling fresh after long walks under the hot sun, I loved using the roll on Cloud 9 perfume from Aeropostale. And after long bus rides and tours, I always had the Listerene Breath Strips in the flavor spearmint in my purse to keep my breath fresh and minty.

What are some of the things you loved during the month of March? I would love to hear about them in the comments below. And if you try any of these things out, let me know what you think about them. Thanks for reading! Until the next post. Never forget to be you! :)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! On this beautiful Sunday morning, we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus who gave His life out of love to save us from our sins.

After going to church, my family and I decided to go out and have lunch at Haiku Gardens. As we waited for an open table, we were able to go down this path that led to a little white gazebo located in the middle of a pond. In the restaurant itself, we enjoyed a delicious buffet surrounded by a beautiful view of the mountains and forests of Hawaii. From kalua pork to coconut jello, I savored every single bite of the food they offered.

What did you do this Easter Sunday? I would love to hear about it in the comments below. I hope you have an amazing rest of the week. Thanks for reading. Until the next post. Never forget to be you :)
